The ‘Boat House’s contemporary architecture evokes the nostalgia of a cabin in the woods while exuding a sleek, modern aesthetic. Step into a gorgeous custom kitchen with soaring windows reaching the point of the vaulted ceiling, ski mountain views over the extra deep and wide stainless sink. Beautiful book matched quartz draws your eye up to the sleek hood and beautiful fixtures. The same stone tops the island and kitchen counters above modern flat paneled cabinets. Glossy perimeter cabinets house 2 Bosch dishwashers, a contrasting matte island is home to the Wolf ovens. Floor to ceiling wood panels conceal the fridge and freezer, food and appliance pantries. The island has seating for 2 and there is a built-in banquet table surrounded by windows, a great spot for breakfast and conversation.
More paneled pantry cabinets surround a wine bar with an ice maker and fridge as you move into the living area. The live edge dining table seats 12. Gorgeous beams stretch from floor to the home’s peak, gorgeously lit by LED glass and metal fixtures. A wall of doors and windows lead out to the main level deck, enjoying amazing valley views with seating and a large gas grill. Local stone covers the dramatic fireplace with a steel mantle, complimenting the metal and glass of the floating office space above. Luxurious velvet and leather seating are complimented by wood, stone, and metal tables, soft pillows and cozy throws – perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after a day on the slopes.
There are two stylish Queen bedrooms on this level, each with a door accessing the home’s front deck and share the guest full bath. The primary suite is located above the main living area with a King bed, luxe bedding, live edge deck in the office, and ensuite including a double vanity, walk in shower and personal washer and dryer. The lower level of the home has 2 additional bedrooms and a full hall bath. The first is a bunkroom with two built in Queen over Queen bunkbeds, each with a personal reading light and USB port. The last bedroom has two Queen beds plus ensuite with shower and integrated trough sink with dual faucets.
A second amazing living space is located on the lower level of the home. Made for entertaining; a pool table with live edge bar seating, a large sectional in front of the huge flat screen, a game table, a second fireplace, and a bar area with dual taps. All enjoying relaxing views out the floor to ceiling windows and doors leading to the lower deck with sunken hot tub. A short hall leads to the laundry room and a spacious ski room. Built-in benches, boot trays, cubbies with baskets, and plenty of hooks make this the perfect spot to gear up for a day on the mountain. Outside the ski room’s glass door you will find a large stone patio with a gas firepit to warm up and share the highlights of your ski day.
Located at mid-mountain, it is a short 350 yard walk from the ‘Boat House to the Thunderhead Lift, the Greenhorn Ranch Ski Learning, and the new Wild Blue Gondola. A front parking pad allows parking for 3 vehicles, with stairs leading to the front floating deck and entry. A stone path leads to the lower stone patio with firepit outside the ski room. There is also a detached garage, not available for use, but does provide an additional parking space for guests.
GETTING AROUND
The ‘Boat House does not include in town shuttle service. Our office is happy to assist arranging shuttles and private car services to/from the airport, as well as in town. If you choose to rent a vehicle, All or 4-wheel drive is suggested in ski season.
GUEST ESSENTIALS
All properties have WIFI and come fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher, and laundry) as well as professionally cleaned bed linens and towels. Kitchens are fully equipped with cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils, standard small appliances, plus aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, and sponges.
This home does not have air conditioning. Cool Colorado summer nights will keep this home comfortable by opening windows after the sun goes down, and then closing the windows and blinds during the day.
